“I AM POWERFUL, BRAVE AND WISE” MAGIC BOX
For the month of February, April Waters will be featured in Mary Lou Zeek Gallery's "What's Inside - Exploring the Potential for Change," the 5th annual 100 Artists show. Poyama Day Treatment Center, in Independence, Oregon, is this year's non-profit organization that benefits from the sales of these boxes. Poyama Day Treatment Center works with children who are caught in the crossfire of abusive and neglectful domestic environments, educational settings ill prepared to meet mental health needs and the bewildering bureaucracies of social service agencies.
